please:
for my roommate's studio class she would like to know this information from you, my livejournal friends and family: what was your favorite board game as a child? what was your favorite outdoor/physical game as a child, tag etc.? and most importantly why?

mousetrap and kickball. Mouse trap was sweet because it was unique. All those moving pieces made you interact more... Kickball because that was the sport of mac el at the time. If you werent playing kickball you were square.

board game: splat! it was sweet. you got to make bugs out of playdo and squash each others bugs with the big squasher that read "splat!" it was really simple but i liked it.

if the trampoline and the swing set don't count as outdoor games, i guess i liked tetherball. i got real into that for awhile haha. i guess i liked it cause it didn't take too much coordination and you got to punch something...perfect!

board game: hi ho cheerio! no one played this. i think i liked the counting, i could play it when i was like 4 so i think i felt accomplished just to be able to play something. plus it was really really red and i liked red

outdoor game: this sucks. i didn't play things. i had trapeze bars built at my house, that was my favorite... sorry bad answer. but i know that i liked these because there was no physical competition.

Favorite board game: Monopoly. It helps that they had the New York edition, so I could ruthlessly deal with money and ownership but in a way that was "fair". I'm secretly overly competitive in a bad way.

Favorite outdoor/physical game: Concentration 64. I wasn't the outdoor type by any means, this was one of those games I could actually be involved in and use my mind rather than running or something. Plus clapping, rhyming, always fun.

Favorite Board Game: Life. It was fun to pretend like you actually had a life when you really didnt.

Favorite Outdoor Game: I'd say line tag. Basically tag..But you had to stay on the cracks of the playground, and if you didnt you were automatically it. I'm pretty sure me and the Gables tore it up =]

We played jr monopoly a lot. I think it was fun to pretend we had money. Lol.

Outdoor game, would probably be hide and seek. It was fun to hide and we usually got most of the neighborhood kids involved so it usually covered a few houses and yards.
